Dear Tom, I've been trying to embrace my "mother within". I don't know how successful it's been but I have tidied my bedroom and made sure that my hair's combed before I leave the house. But seriously, I'm not sure that what the C of E needs right now is a more maternal approach. I know that the bishops are a men-only club but its not exactly brimming with testosterone. I wouldn't mind hearing about a more muscular kind of Christianity; a bit less Earth Mother and a bit more Sky Father. What do you think?
