The Sacred and Secular in Cyberspace

Here's the text of a Lecture I gave on Friday evening - to the Waterside Ecumenical Community. Click here to read it.

Health warning: it was a 30 minute lecture...not the normal 10 minute talk!

I loved the allegorical possibilities between second life and real life on the one hand, and real life and the the world of souls and spirits on the other.

Could you lead a discussion in second life about the possible existance of real life, and what duties second lifers offer to real life entities?

Would we real lifers be gratified for instance if second lifers gathered together to say how great real lifers are, and to sing us hymns of praise?
